Breeding of sports horses in Saint-Lô (Basse-Normandie)
Created in 1965 by Guy Hubert – in Saint-Lô, in the vicinity of Agneaux, Coutances and Bayeux – the Manciais breeding is now directed by his son Denis Hubert and has been since 1990. It is a real working space for the breeding of horses that is open to the enthusiasts of the region.
Breeding of sports horses
The Manciais breeding currently has about ten broodmare, which give birth to healthy foals every year. At the age of 2, their abilities are tested and some – the most promising ones – will be presented at dedicated sales. For example, we offer broodmare, young horses to educate and horses ready for competition.
Our riders put in the spotlight
The 3-year-old horses join the competition stable, located in the National Stud Fram. This one has two experienced riders: Manon GEISMAR BONNEMAINS and Camille PIOT. Both are in charge of the valorization of horses, ranging from education to their outings in competition.
Each year, they stand out thanks to numerous rankings, notably in the Classical Cycles of the 4, 5 and 6 year old horses. You can also find them in the 130 cm to 140 cm races as well as in the CSI* and CSI** for which they have distinguished themselves repeatedly.
At the heart of our facilities
Our establishment is composed of two key sites. The first, based in Saint-Lô, is exclusively intended for the breeding of sports horses. For this purpose, it includes 20 boxes, 2 paddocks, a riding arena and a straight walker.
The competition team is located in the number 2 stable of the National Stud Farm and takes advantage of the site’s facilities such as a walker, two riding areas, three outdoor riding arena, 20 boxes.
